Timberline Theater- Age 4 through grade 12
This course seeks to provide students with a solid foundation in acting and stage presence, allowing them to participate in the development of a full stage production, from the casting process to staging to the final performance. Students do not need to commit to an acting role in order to participate, as backstage roles, such as costuming, lighting, and sound, will also be a necessary part of the production process. The goal of the class is to perform two different productions within the school year- one in the winter (Peter Pan) and one in the spring (The Wizard of Oz for younger students and The Importance of Being Earnest for jr high/high school). Students from grades 1st to 12th are encouraged to enroll, as a large class will allow for more opportunities in the casting process. As part of enrollment, each student may be asked to sell five tickets to each performance in order to offset the cost of performance fees, costumes, etc. The price of tickets is $5/adult, $3/child, $18/family pack (2 parents & all children).
